STAFF ACCOUNTANT / SR ADMINISTRATIEF MEDEWERKER

For a US company, with a European headoffice in the Netherlands (Mijdrecht) we are looking for a Staff Accountant / Senior Administratief for 24-40 hours per week.

Our team is creative, forward thinking, and expanding as our company grows. The ideal candidate likes working in a collaborative team environment, is a self starter and can handle multiple tasks in a given day.

You will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks, including but not limited to, recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.

English is the main language in the office.

Tasks and responsibilities
  • Processing data in various (financial) systems
  • Assisting with audit, monthly reporting and preparing financial statements
  • Data entry, AP, AR, cash management and debt collection
  • Supporting the performance of other administrative tasks
  • Communication with internal and external parties (mostly in English language)
  • Maintaining the mailbox
Qualifications
  • An MBO-4 working and thinking level and preferably several years of experience in a financial administrative position
  • Honest, accurate and have an eye for detail
  • Proactive and results-oriented
  • Good  knowledge of Excel and experience working with an accounting system
  • Enjoys switching between different types of tasks and variety of work
  • Able to handle Dutch and English language, spoken and written
  • Available for 24-40 hours per week (working hours and –days are flexible)

  • Market-based salary depending on experience and education, travel allowance, pension and 25 days off per year
  • Working from home is possible (but please be at least 2 days per week in the office) after being fully trained
